How is BigCommerce Support?
When it comes to support I rate any ecommerce software host based on three key criteria. Knowledge base and tutorials, customer support and personal guidance. I have seen many ecommerce software companies doing one of the three really good but falling short on the other two. Let see how BigCommerce fares in this -
Knowledge base and video tutorials
As I said in my previous blog post that the moment I signed up with BigCommerce free trial I knew what to do and was guided well through the remaining steps of online store set up through a set of detailed video tutorials. I din’t have any pain in setting up an online store within minutes. Also I was guided by BigCommerce staff members through email every day right from day one. Apart from this BigCommerce has webinars and marketing videos to help out optimize their sites for profits.
I found setting up an online store with BigCommerce using video tutorials very easy until one day a client of mine who sells kids apparel online messed the HTML coding of the site. We immediately called BigCommerce at 11:30 EST and our call was addressed after 2 rings. Not bad for a company with so many clients!!! Very soon the executive guided us to restore the previous design and our site was beautiful yet again.
BigCommerce recently launched 7 day support for its customers so you need not wait over the weekend if your site is down on Friday evening. How ever you have to keep in mind that there is no 24 hour support as of now. The company is soon planning to provide the same when the next version of the software will be ready to roll out.
As said BigCommerce support team is not just a team of individuals who take calls and open a ticket on your name. When we made a call to Bigcommerce we were helped out by some designer who seemed to have adept knowledge on HTML and CSS.
Over all I and my client has a good experience.
